Jay Graydonプロデュースの下、Dionne Warwickが1982年に発表したARISTA RECORDS移籍後の4枚目のアルバム"FRIENDS IN LOVE"です。
アルバム紹介では、「ポピュラー音楽史上最も優れたシンガーに数えられるディーヴァが、名ギタリストのジェイ・グレイドンをプロデューサーに迎えて制作し、今なおAORファンから絶大な支持を得る傑作アルバム。グレイドン/フォスター/チャンプリンの最強チームによるタイトル曲、スティーヴィー・ワンダーが書いた「ウィズ・ア・タッチ」などオリジナル曲に加え、EW&Fの「キャント・ハイド・ラヴ」などカバー曲も。レコーディングには、グレイドン(g)をはじめ、デヴィッド・フォスター(p)、ラリー・カールトン(g)、スティーヴ・ルカサー(g)、ジェフ・ポーカロ(ds)など西海岸を代表するミュージシャンが参加している。 」とあり、まさにその通りのアルバム。
