本日は。STEELY DANの名盤「彩 (AJA)」への参加で一躍注目を浴びその後AOR系のアーティストのヒット作を手がけDAVID FOSTERとAIRPLAYを結成。 70年代後半から80年代にかけてリリースされ世界的に大ヒットしたEARTH WIND & FIREの「After The Love Has Gone」GEORGE NEBSONの「Turn Your Love Around」の作曲家/プロデューサーとしても有名なJAY GRAYDONの1993年発表の記念すべき初リーダー作"AIRPLAY FOR THE PLANET"を紹介いたします。。
この1stですが、発表当時は、日本とヨーロッパだけで発売されました。翌年の1994年にドイツで、アメリカでは、本作がSonic Thrust Recordsから2002年に発売されております。また、最近では、JAY GRAYDON自身のよるリマスターで国内盤と輸入盤が発表されており、国内盤は紙ジャケ仕様で、ジャケット・デザインが変更されております。
