JOHN O'KANEが1991年に発表した唯一作"SOLID"です。
このJOHN O'KANEは、UK産のハイテックAORバンドMillions Like Usのリードシンガーを務めていた人で、解散後、アメリカに渡り、ナッシュビルやロサンゼルスで音楽活動し、1991年にこのアルバムを発表しております。
この"SOLID"ですが、メロディアスでポップで良く出来たアルバムで、JOHN O'KANEのヴォーカル・スタイルもブルー・アイド・ソウルしていかしてるし、また、バック・ミュージシャンを見ても、Jeff PorcaroやSteve Lukather、Paul Jackson Jrなどの名前もありますし、この1枚だけというのはちょっとばかり」さみしいです。

メロディアスでポップで元気いっぱいな01、まさにウエスト・コーストしたメロディアスなAORの02、メロディアスでとても良くできたバラードの03、Jeff PorcaroとSteve Lukatherが参加したこれまたメロディアスなAORの04、ピアノの音が印象的なバラードの05、ブルー・アイド・ソウルした歌唱がたまらない若干ファンキーな06、感傷的なバラードの07、軽快なポップナンバーの08、JOHN O'KANEの歌の上手さが光るバラードの09、ミディアム・テンポのメロディアス10、と結構良く出来たAORとなっております。
AMAZONを覗くと、結構安い価格で販売しておりますが、この価格であれば「買い」でしょう。
